Love Birds

Today is my three year wedding anniversary and it is amazing at how fast the time has gone by. The saying “time flies when you are having fun” must be true. I am lucky enough to be married to a man that I genuinely call my best friend. He makes me laugh daily, as we share the same childish sense of humor. We are both so lucky to have families that love us as much as we love them and look forward to having one of our own in the near future.

On this day of love I wanted to share a shop with you that I  absolutely adore.

Heather Mitchell Draws Sophia

As you all know by now I think Miss Sophia is simply divine. She would almost be perfect if it wasn’t for that one little issue of humping my leg. We are working on this but who can blame her when my legs are so irresistible. Seeing how much I love my Poopsie Woopsie it is no surprise how absolutely thrilled I was when Heather of HeatherMitchellDraws Offered to draw her. She was kind enough to let me see the work as it progressed and it really was a treat to watch it come together. We just received the original in the mail yesterday and it is even better in person.

Here is some of her other amazing work

Heather is not only a great artist but she is truly a sweet person.

I Heart Bees

Finally the spring weather has arrived. It feels so good outside with the sun shining. Trees are starting to bud and some flowers have already bloomed. Miss Sophia has been sunbathing in the yard all day and while I was keeping her company, I saw my first bumble bee of the season. I just love the big, fat, juicy bees here in South Carolina. They are about three times the size of the ones we have back home in Canada.

So in honor of bumble bees all over the world I figured I would search good old Etsy for some bee items to share with you all.

Rear Gear

The creativity of others never ceases to amaze me!!!!

I was cruising around Etsy as I tend to do way too often and just about fell out of my chair laughing when I came across  a shop called - RearGear

Product description:
Is your pet feeling left in the dirt because of his/her unsightly rear? I’ve got them covered... Rear Gear is handmade in Portland, OR and offers a cheerful solution to be-rid your favorite pet’s un-manicured back side.

Rear Gear comes in many designs including a disco ball, air freshener, heart, flower, biohazard, smiley face, number one ribbon, cupcake, sheriff's badge, dice, and you can even make yours custom, so there’s a Rear Gear for everyone.

What an imaginative concept and super cute idea. If Miss Sophia didn’t have such a fantastic rear door cover, I would be buying one of these immediately. Hmmmmm….. I wonder if she does custom orders for cats as Bailey would look smashing with one of these delights covering her meowtastic tushie.

Make sure to check out RearGear at her Etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/RearGear

Sugar Rush

A peaceful sleep is not something that I get very often in my house. There are not one but two culprits in whom I hold responsible for this…. my snoring husband & my snoring dog. Let’s just say they are lucky that I love them both. I often lay there and imagine that they are actually a part of a snoring symphony as it seems that they snore in sync with one another. Usually I just stuff in my ever so sexy earplugs and this does the trick but the old ball and chain has had a cold which in turn made his snoring equal to that of a grizzly bear.

My poor little earplugs did not stand a chance in this battle so down to the office I came. While I sat in front of the computer stuffing my face with M&Ms at 2am I decided to type candy into an Etsy search and I spent the next hour pining away over all of the sickly sweet and cute items that I found. This little shop I came across is so sweet it almost makes me cry with glee. I hope you like it too.

I give to you .....The Mouse Market

Anyone who makes things this cute must be a sweeheart!

I also made a Treasury full of sweet items on Etsy so feel free to check that out if you need another sugar rush.  http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list.php?room_id=117241

Boooo to rainy days!

Why do rainy days have the power to make one feel gloomy? Well guess what rainy day… I am not going to let you turn me into a grumpy, sourpuss for the entire day. I have a weapon and it is Etsy.

I love to search for items on Etsy by using the pounce feature. This almost always guarantees a unique find and today did not let me down. As soon as I came across this little shop I started to smile.

I find other people’s ideas and creativity to be so interesting. There is no doubt in my mind that you must be an amazing and fun person to come up with the idea of sushi slippers!!!!

So I give to you……… Sushi Booties

Thanks Sushi Booties for being so creative and turning my rainy day into a sunny one.
